DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE TRS' ASSOCIATION WITH LPINZ LTD In February 2010 TRS formed an association with LPINZ Ltd, the New Zealand branch of Lightning Protection International Pty Ltd (known in the market as LPI), based in Hobart, Tasmania.
LPI manufacture and supply TRS' association with LPI enables us to design, supply and install earthing systems for buildings, towers and other structures. ACCEPTANCE AS AN IQP (INDEPENDENTLY QUALIFIED PERSON) As of 12th October 2009, TRS is qualified to undertake the inspection and maintenance of Building Maintenance Units (BMUs). This will be of great benefit to our current and future clients, complementing our existing height safety expertise. Our certificate can be viewed and/or downloaded here. STAFF UPSKILLING Quieter times provide a perfect opportunity for our staff to spend some time upskilling, attending Dogman and truck-mounted crane training at Tai Poutini Polytech. Brent Clyde from Contract Connections spent a very interesting four hours refreshing our staff on Cadwelding - two hours of theory and two hours of practical.
EME TRAINING TRS conducted in house EME (electromagnetic energy) training, with a presentation by Simon Cooke-Willis, RF Compliance Manager for Telecom, on the existing and new XT network.
POUTU GROUND BLESSING TRS staff attended a ground blessing ceremony at Poutu in anticipation of further development at the site.
